Out of our havens flow the generations.
Helping you to turn your home into a haven.
Meet the Designer
Hello, my friends! Since my earliest years I have loved design in whatever form that came. Whether it was my club house made from crisp white sheets under the maple tree as a child, my bedroom as a teenager, or my small studio apartment as a new bride, I have always wanted to nestle in and make my environment visually lovely and inviting. This desire to beautify and create is deep within my soul; it is how God created me. For many years I saw this passion for making things beautiful as trivial and insignificant, at times shallow and unimportant in the scheme of life. After all, all the important things in life were becoming a teacher, a doctor, an author, a world-renowned speaker or some such "worthwhile" skill, and yet God just gave me the ability to make a space lovely and inviting. How useless is that?! Well, my friends, I am happy to say that God has shown me the immense error in my thinking!
Through becoming a momma, God was able to show me the truth of what He placed in my heart at creation. How desiring a lovely and inviting space nurtures and brings comfort to, not only me, but those that I love. I believe that God puts into a woman's heart at creation the desire to nurture, protect, and beautify: to create a haven for what we love. The area in which this typically demonstrates itself is our home, our nooks in the world that hold our families and the things that hold the most meaning to us on this side of heaven. I believe that God putting this nature in a woman's heart at creation shows us the value in the art of homemaking. Much of true godly womanhood plays out in the art of homemaking, for out of it flows the generations and the souls of those generations. Our homes and the environment that we create have immense value my friend!!!
I am honored to play any part in helping you turn your home into a haven, whether it be a handmade European pillow or a freshly upholstered piece, I am honored! I am so thankful that God expanded my narrow view of "worthwhile" skills.
I am grateful for each one of you!
Your friend,
Jennie
